While things are heating up out west (maybe cooling down) it is literally bone dry in the Northeast. We see some action up in the Northeast Kingdom but other than a few Mainers, New Englanders are wondering what happened to Winter? As I did my Christmas shopping today, surrounded by snowy decorations and holiday hullabaloo, I tried to recall the last time it snowed on Christmas? Answer – three of the last 15 December 25th’s brutal!
Don’t look too closely, this is not a trick. There’s nothing on these maps.
This Christmas storm will have skiers in the Midwest happy happy happy but for New England… Rain. 2012 has been a memorable year for its massive storms. Superstorm Sandy being the most recent – its been close to six years since New England was graced with winter weather of a magnitude that even comes close to Superstorm Sandy that devastated parts of the Eastern seaboard just months ago. Well, I’m definitely not going to wish for potentially destructive storms under any circumstance, but lets just say this is getting a bit ridiculous.
