This is the last day of summer. Typing that is somewhat bittersweet – the summer of 2009 in New England was kind of the-summer-that-never-was. June was a rain out, July was cold and a touch rainy, August flew, and here we are in September. Tomorrow is the start of fall, and with that ski season is just around the corner.
I was poking around, looking for some new ski films for this season, and I found many of the usual suspects. For those of you in Boston, mark your calendars for November 13th, as that’s when Warren Miller’s Dynasty comes to town. Click here if you’d like to see the teaser.
But as I was poking around, I saw another film that looked incredible. The Edge of Never is the story of the death of Trevor Petersen, a freeskiing pioneer, and his son’s journey to ski the couloir where his father died. It looks pretty incredible. It comes to Boston on November 18th, but if anyone has seen this, please drop us a line, we here at Apres would love to hear your thoughts. Here’s the trailer for your enjoyment.
