Emily Cook, Belmont MA and Olympic hopeful joined fellow American Jeret “Speedy” Peterson on the podium this weekend at Lake Placid after placing 3rd and 1st respectively in the Nature Valley Freestyle Challenge aerials event. It always catches our eye when Americans do well in competition but such a strong performance from a fellow Mass native deserves recognition. Emily is no stranger to the podium or to charity work for that matter which makes her even easier to cheer for. To check out her full bio or to take a look at the “She Jumps” program, which works with the Salt Lake City Boys and Girls club to allow under privileged children to ski, go to her web site.
