New York Times – TRAVEL

I am not sure how deep our readership is from new york, but hopefully others also saw today’s spread in the NYTimes Travel section… titled “36 Hours in Zermatt.”  The article is very good, set up as a travel itinerary for the average tourist looking to ski and take in the local sites.

The writer, Nicholas Kulish, is spot on when it comes to apres (thankfully, since we clearly would have otherwise had to correct him), with his description of the Papperla Pub (  The beer flows like the salmon of the Capistrano amidst the pounding of rock music (a live band, of course), skiers telling their epic tales of the 20-footer that was jumped earlier in the day, and a buzz of tourists and patrons looking to win free shots!  Jager, please.  This one is a must-check-out if you are in Switzerland this winter.
