Winter of 2008 Gear Review

Cloudveil Koven Plus - Rain Jackets: Reviews Arc'teryx Hercules Hoody – Soft Shells: Reviews

Waking up this morning at 6:40 AM in Boston, I quickly realized that winter is here and when you are a New Englander, you know that means wind. You may be familiar with what I am talking about; just think back to childhood ski trips to Vermont/Maine/New Hampshire, before goggle and hat technology was as advanced as it is today. With 10 degrees and 30 mph winds Dad was always certain that we “got our $$ worth” by catching that 3:50 pm quad-chair all the way to the top of Mt. Mansfield to finish off the day. Not sure why I still ski.

This morning, after making coffee I put on my Patagonia softshell and with some gloves I felt pretty good. As you get ready for the upcoming season, be sure to check out all the sweet new gear that is out there, from Arc’teryx and Cloudveil to the old traditional Patagonia and North Face.

And remember – the only thing more important than looking sweet on the mountain is looking sweet at the bar. Choose your outfits wisely!
